Buckeye Walking Horse Association High Point Award Rules
These rules are for registered Tennessee Walking Horses only shown
in accordance with current TWHBEA rules.

POINTS WILL BS AWARDED IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:
You must be a paid member and in good standing o
f BWHA to participate in High Point Awards.

Owner and rider must be a paid member of BWHA on or before show date.
If horse is registered under more than one owner all owners must be members of
BWHA.

Horse must be nominated and nomination fee paid on or before show date.

Points are transferable if horse is sold to another member. Points go with the horse and not the rider.
If you sell your horse, point Secretary must be notified at once.
Points are contingent on the date the horse is sold, not on the date of transfer.

In order to earn BWHA High Points awards there must be at least one Walking Horse class in a show
except for Versatility Division.(See Versatility rule)
You may earn points in any show, but the show must have a licensed judge.

Any show with less than four Walking Horse classes will be
single points.

Any show with four or more Walking Horse classes will be
double points.

Any BWHA show, Trainer’s Show, International, Fun Show, and the National Celebration will be
triple points.

Juveniles showing in Amateur classes; points will go to Amateur Division only.
All 2,3 and 4 year olds who show in classes other than those designated by age, points will go in
Amateur Division.
Nomination Fee is $10.00 per horse.
Points acquired in specific point classes will be counted in appropriate divisions.

Versatility Division - for this division points will count from both Open and Walking Horse shows.
Versatility division will Include points following only:

Basic Reining                TWH over Fences        
Barrel Racing                Trail        
Water Glass                   Pleasure Driving        
Pole Bending  

AWARDS WILL APPLY TO THE FOLLOWING CLASSES ONLY:

All stake and Championship classes will be double points.

At all shows points will be awarded in accordance with the number of horses in the ring.

ALL POINTS MUST BE TURNED IN NO LATER THAN 30 DAYS After THE SHOW
WITH A SHOW BILL.
NO Points will be accepted
after October 31.
To be eligible for High Points awards horses must show in at least ONE BWHA show. If there is another
show the same day as a BWHA show, in order to receive any points for that day, you must show your horse
in the BWHA show. If you go to the other show also, those points will count too. If you show in the other show
but not in the BWHA show, points will not count.

If horse is entered in a BWHA show and entry fee paid and you are not tied or are excuses from the ring,
you will be qualified as having shown that particular horse in a BWHA show.
